Loren Stata
Loren Stata, Bassoon, received a Bachelor of Music from the Peabody Conservatory of the Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor of Music in Recording Arts and Sciences (equivalent of the German tönmeister program)—as well as a Master of Music degree in Bassoon Performance from the University of Iowa.
Loren has played in the Waterloo-Cedar Falls, Oskaloosa, Ottumwa, Cedar Rapids, and Dubuque Symphonies. He also interned with Al Swanson and the Seattle Symphony, assisting with archival and commercial release recordings. As a student at Peabody, he recorded over 100 recitals and concerts ranging from solo piano to full symphony orchestra with chorus and soloists.
Moving to Philadelphia in 2006, Loren now runs a recording business, recording concerts, recitals, audition tapes, and demos for artists throughout the East Coast. In his spare time, Loren is an active cyclist, soccer and ultimate Frisbee player.
